How compensation is worked out
1. Compensation for pain and suffering
This is an all in round payment for the pain and and inconvenience of the injury itself. It varies according to the severity of the injury and how long the effect of it will last.
2. Compensation for financial loss
Any financial loss resulting from the accident or illness is capable of being recovered. This might include lost earnings, pension, the cost of past and future care, accommodation and aids etc. The potential list is endless. We are always happy to talk through the possibilities.
3. Compensation for the family in a fatal case
This is slightly different. Here the bulk and any claims for the financial support which the deceased would have given but for his her death to those who were being supported prior to death. This extends to loss of future Pension support.
